is a user led project integrated within South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. We provide time-unlimited, vocational information and support for people who use mental health services in Lambeth. We cover education, employment, training, volunteering and welfare. We also provide information to health professionals when required.
Referral to the project is simple. Service users can self refer or a health professional can do so on their behalf. All that is required is a phone call or email, and a suitable date and time will be arranged for an initial appointment to see how we can help.
Shaun is the Project Manager. He is a user of services and has significant working experience of health and social care. He will meet with users initially to see how they can be assisted, and provide ongoing support. He also has significant knowledge of welfare benefits in relation to health needs.
Rob is the Vocational & Social Inclusion Officer. He meets with individuals initially and assists them to meet their goals. He provides in-depth and long term support for those that require it. He will often accompany service users to appointments into the community.
Kate is the Education & Grants Officer. She supports service users in accessing education and training. She provides as much support as an individual needs at every stage. A vital part of her role is to help find suitable funding for course costs.
Manju is the Peer Education support Officer. She is the newest member of the team.
Ollie is the Website Designer. He is responsible for creating and regularly updating this website. He does this in a voluntary capacity. He is also a trained animator.
We now have a learner fund available through Vocation Matters. Education Counts can be found HERE
